This gorgeous circa 1940s pendant is brimming with character and charm. The centre of the charm bears a gold flower, set with tiny seed pearls and a central claw set red paste stone. This flower sits atop three bars of gold and a rope heart encircles it, disappearing behind part of the gold planks (such an inelegant word for such a pretty and delicate pendant). Leaves rise from the heart and this is all framed in a diamond shaped gold frame with three gold flowers that were super fashionable during this era. These little cast flowers appear on pendants, ring shoulders, earrings - the most gorgeous little dainty nod to nature. With a clear Assay mark for Chester, we were very sad not to find a date stamp - but this piece stylistically dates herself and we know it was pre 1962 when Chester closed its Assay doors.

Hallmarks  Chester Assay Office, "9.375" no date stamp visible - but Chester closed in 1962 - so def before then. 

Condition - two of the pearls are showing wear, and we cannot find seed pearls that small to replace them.
